Our Laurier Rose mobile home is situated on the 4* PreCatalan site in Barcares , near Perpignan. The site is owned and managed by my sister-in-law, Jenny who is originally from the West Midlands and her French husband, Francois.This is a small, very clean and really friendly site,just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful beach at Barcares. When the site closed in September, work began on creating a new swimming pool complex, which will be completed for the 2009 season which begins in May. The new pool will augment the already superb facilities, which include a retaurant and take-away, shop (with fresh bread every morning), laundry, library with English books and internet access and a lively bar with a full entertainment programme. There is also a very popular Childrens' Club on the site and a disco in July and August. Champion and Lidl supermarkets are a short walk away.
