The village of Famara has a 7 klm beach which is ideal for surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and due to its size is ideal for naturist's wanting an all over tan. Dont worry if you are not a naturist the beach is so huge you would problably never see anyone minus a swim suit.
The village has many fine restaurants that serve fresh fish or delicious steaks. There are about four supermarkets so self catering is not a problem.
Just behind the beach is a magnificent 2000 foot mountain where hang gliders can be seen hovering in the sky.
