Forest Edge is a traditional 19th century granite cottage situated in a quiet location on the edge of the small town of Dalbeattie, with views over the surrounding hills. Just over the garden wall lie miles of walks through the lovely Dalbeattie Town Wood - linking in to a network of paths and cycleways leading down to the beautiful Colvend Coast. The cottage itself has been tastefully extended and refurbished to provide a comfortable home-away-from-home for up to 4 people. The cottage has gas central heating and double-glazing throughout, making it warm and cosy at any time of year. Accommodation includes one double and one twin bedroom on the first floor, while on the ground floor there is a large, comfortably furnished lounge with open fire, tv and cd player, a well-equipped modern kitchen, with electric cooker, microwave and fridge, and a bathroom with electric shower. All bedlinen and towels are provided. On request an infant's cot and high chair are available at no extra cost. Pets welcome for a small extra charge. To the rear of the property, a good-sized garden, with patio seating area and pond, leads up to the woods at the rear. If you are lucky, you may even see red squirrels and deer feeding in the garden!
