My wife and I have recently bought and restored this lovely 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment, which is in a historic Oltrano Florentine building on a quiet side street called Via della Chiesa. We chose it for its characteristic high wood-beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, and wonderful views from the windows, natural light, tranquility and prime location. We are not a rental agency; this apartment is our own. We have decorated it with care and hope that you will find yourself truly comfortable while staying there. We have furnished it tastefully, with antiques, comfortable bedding, a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. It also has a collection of books about Florence and the Renaissance. We leave local information about shop hours and restaurants in the apartment. Features include: · 2 large bedrooms, one has en-suite bathroom, both have lovely views from the windows · 2 bathrooms, one with tub (beautiful tiles etc.) and washing machine, both with showers · fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, marble countertops, custom cabinets etc.) & living room with TV · sleeps 4 comfortably, can accommodate 6 using pull-out couch · quiet · sunny · high wood-beamed ceilings · antique terracotta floors · third floor, no elevator · antique furnishings · 2 hair dryers, iron, alarm clock, linens & towels, ceiling fans, cell phone · completely restored with brand-new appliances, bathrooms, mattresses, sheets, towels, pullout couch, etc. Cancellation Charges: The client will be charged the non-refundable 20% reservation fee. In addition, they will be charged: 50% of the full rental fee---cancellation 2 to 4 weeks before rental period 100% of the full rental fee---cancellations within 2 weeks of rental period Although we understand that emergencies do sometimes arise, we are unfortunately unable to be flexible regarding our cancellation charges. It is for this reason that we strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance. Security Deposit: Arrival & Departure Arrival time is after 3:00 pm and departure time is by 11:00 am, Saturdays are preferable. Please advise us at least one week in advance of your estimated arrival time. If there is a delay on the day you are traveling, you should call our key holder to let them know. (We will give you the necessary contact information when we receive your deposit). Upon arrival, you can take a cab directly to the apartment, where our key holder will meet you at the property with the keys. He will also come to check you out, collect the keys etc. upon departure. Please arrange with him the exact time for this exchange. Utilities and Cleaning: Heat and final cleaning are not included in the weekly rental price. Linens and towels are provided. No pets allowed. Property location: The apartment address is Via della Chiesa, 13. The cross street is Via delle Caldaie. It is located in the area of Santo Spirito Church, near Palazzo Pitti and Boboli Gardens. Cab fare from Florence’s Vespucci Airport should cost approximately $20.00 Euro; from the train station it should be a bit less.
