The Montefrio Holiday Home is a traditional two bedroom house, with modern decoration and furniture throughout. The house is south facing so gets the sun all day long, which is of course wonderful and when the temperature is too hot, the awning can provide some welcome relief Ground Floor Entry is via the kitchen (there is a separate front door but it isn’t used) which is fitted with a gas hob, fridge, microwave and kettle. There is also a fireplace for use during the winter (it can get very cold). Off the kitchen is the dining area, including a table and chairs, which also has an under stairs cupboard for storage. Kitchen size: 13’ by 6’ 8’’ Dining Room size: 10’ by 9’ plus under stairs cupboard and staircase First Floor Going up the stairs leads to the living room which has a new suite, TV and DVD player. To the right is a small room which currently houses bookshelves but. From this room you go into the bathroom with bidet, sink, toilet, and shower over bath and new cabinet To the left is another door which leads you to a double sized bedroom, which has two single beds. This bedroom has access to the top floor. Bathroom size: 8’ 8’’ by 6’ Spare room size: 8’ by 7’ Living room size: 11’ 8’’ by 8’ 8’’ Bedroom size: 9’ 6’’ by 9’ 6’’, plus staircase Top Floor From the bedroom, the stairs take you up to the top floor where there is another double bedroom (again currently has two single beds and a wardrobe). Note that this bedroom is open plan, i.e. there is no door at the top of the stairs. (which is the traditional Spanish style) Bedroom size: 12’ by 9’ 8’’ Outside There is an enclosed patio area with views over the valley, across to neighbouring properties and up to the cliffs at the top of the village. There is a pull out awning if the sun gets too fierce. There is no vehicular access outside the property. The street is only yards away but is VERY narrow (wing mirrors folded in please) and is used only by the neighbours and the bread delivery van, who usually calls twice a day. Permanent parking is in the village square, some 200 yards from the property. This is a traditional Spanish village and so the neighbours can get a bit noisy at times with the locals chatting outside; sometimes there is even dancing! Most visitors will realise this is part of the charm of the village. There are a few English neighbours who live permanently in the village and are willing to help you with any difficulties Montefrio has a public swimming pool is based in the local school and is open during summer holidays.
