We are just 26 miles from Stornoway, but it's another world out here. Loch View is a comfortable, newly-renovated property in the tiny crofting village of Enaclete, overlooking Little Loch Roag in the spectacular district of Uig, Isle of Lewis. This cosy little house gets lots of sun, and has a huge sundeck to catch the evening rays, and a log- or coal-burning stove for chilly evenings. The sitting/dining room has soft seating around the stove and a large tv, a dining table and views out over the village and loch. The kitchen is well-equipped with microwave, fridge/freezer, oven/hob and washing machine, as well as the usual small appliances. The bathroom is brand new with a full tub as well as a shower. There are three bedrooms - double, twin and single - sleeping five comfortably. All bedlinen and towels are provided. At the back of the property is the sundeck: if you've never been to the Outer Hebrides, you may be surprised to know that we get a lot of sun! There is a locked shed for bikes and kayaks, and up to two well-behaved pets are welcome. A perfect base for an outdoor-orientated holiday, exploring the many historical sites around the islands (Callanish Stones, Doune Carloway, Gearrannan Blackhouse Village), relaxing on our pure white deserted beaches, or zipping about in a boat with Seatrek, based 3 miles away at Miavaig. The location is remote and peaceful but the community is active and friendly, with a well-stocked shop and several eating places within easy reach.
