Casa Ana is a beautifully presented 2 bedroom/2 bathroom villa located in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park with stunning views across Amoreira beach & the Monchique mountains. Monte Clérigo beach is also within easy walking distance. Both beaches offer easy, walk-on access from beachside car parks. This holiday villa sleeps up to 5 people and is offered for rent on a self-catering basis. Arranged over 2 floors, the villa is tastefully furnished to a very good standard throughout. The ground floor bedroom has a bunk bed (single bed on top and double bed beneath). The first floor double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. The villa also benefits from a ground floor bathroom (with shower cubicle). The fully equipped kitchen is separate from the comfortable lounge/diner. Located in Espartal, within a 12 villa holiday development with a communal swimming pool, the villa benefits from private sun terraces from which you can enjoy fantastic sea and mountain views. Alternatively, you can chill out around the swimming pool or on the large first floor sun terrace overlooking it. Sun loungers, outdoor dining facilities and a BBQ are provided.

Local Area Details

The villa is located at Espartal c6km from the cultural historical small town of Aljezur in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park which extends from Odeceixe to Burgau covering c80km of coastline. The area is a paradise for lovers of wild flowers particularly in the Spring time when the countryside is awash with colour. The region is also rich in animal life where birds in particular are the great attraction. Birds of prey storks herons and a wide variety of migrating birds visit the region every year. The area has to be experienced to be fully appreciated.

Aljezur old town consists of a maze of cobbled streets with whitewashed houses typical of the rural architecture of the Algarve. Here the houses cascade down the hillside from the castle ramparts to the river. The newer part of the town Igreja Nova was built after the 1755 earthquake.

Places of local interest include the Castle affording panoramic views across the surrounding countryside, Jose Cercas Museum displaying canvasses & drawings by the local born painter, Aljezur Municipal Museum containing archaeological finds with its adjoining Gallery hosting temporary art exhibitions, Mercy Church the Main Church.

Local restaurants offering a range of Portuguese and International cuisine can be found at beachside locations, Aljezur and nearby Vale da Telha.

Local supermarkets can be found in closeby Aljezur and Vale da Telha. Shopping facilities in Aljezur include Artesanato, Surf, Clothing and Jewellery shops. There are daily indoor markets where fresh fruit vegetables fish can be purchased. Fresh meat cheese can be purchased at the counters in the supermarkets or local butchers. The Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning where fresh produce grown by the local farmers can be purchased. Aljezur open market is held on the 3rd Monday of every month. Banks, a post office, internet facilities and petrol stations are available in Aljezur.

Local activities include surf schools, horse riding, walking, mountain biking, rock climbing and tennis.
