Situated in the National Park of the Plateau de Millevaches, La Maison des Fleurs is an 18th Century farmhouse in the hamlet of Bunleix. The Plateau de Millevaches covers an area of more than 3,300 km²; it is one of France's main water sources and a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty. Our gîte is a former barn attached to the house. The interior is a modern living space comprising of an open plan kitchen,dinning and living room, 3 bedrooms (double, twin and single), shower room and two toilets. The open plan living/dining area, with seating for 6 people, overlooks the garden; it has a wood burning stove for those cooler autumn and winter evenings. We also have a family sized television, with a DVD player and a selection of films in both French and English. Books, board games and outside games/toys are also available. The kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric oven, induction hob and a family sized fridge/freezer. All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are supplied. Electric heaters are installed in all rooms and two electrically heated towel rails are located in the bathroom. Outside there is a private garden with a barbecue, dining table (seating for 6 people), large sun umbrella and sun loungers. We also have children’s swings, a trampoline and a 5 meter (16') pool. If required, we can also provide, free of charge, a travel cot, bed linen, bath, potty and highchair for younger guests. Cleaning products, the hire of bed linen, bath, hand and tea towels, together with 140 units of electricity are included within our weekly rental price. As all the bedrooms are on the first floor, the gîte may not be suitable for people who have difficulty in climbing stairs. Pets may be allowed in the gîte only by prior arrangement.
