La Casa Vicino della Chiesa is situated in the historical centre of the village which is within the boundaries of a designated national park. The house comprises of a modern kitchen/lounge with two sofas. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and wonderful views across the peligna valley. The areas National Parks is a walkers’ paradise and has a wealth of beauty spots and historical sites to explore. Visit beautiful Sulmona the birthplace of the classical poet Ovid with its piazze and confetti made from sugar coated almonds. There are many regional specialities which can be sampled at local markets and enjoy the many excellent but reasonably priced restaurants. The Adriatic coast is forty-five minutes drive, in winter the house makes an ideal base for an inexpensive ski holiday with the extensive slopes of Roccaraso and neighbouring resorts less than thirty minutes drive away.
