This is ideal walking country in Central Lakeland in the heart of Grizedale Forest - Lakeland's largest forest area. The property is situated in a glorious position - south facing in a tiny, secluded valley with hills and woodland either side and a stream running down the valley floor. Superb walking is literally seconds from the door. The mediaeval village of Hawshead is 3 miles. Beatrix Potter's home, where she wrote the Peter Rabbit stories is also 3 miles. Lake Windemere is 4 miles and Lake Coniston 6 miles. Owner managed and open all year. We have lived in the farmhouse next to the barn for 22 years and we provide towels for foreign visitors! You will love our area, but you do need a hire car.
