Property Details of Kent Cottage

The cottage is furnished and decorated to a high standard with flat screen television, HD Blu-Ray DVD player, and HD satellite reception. The living room features a leather sofa, armchairs and exposed timbers. The sleeping accommodation comprises a spacious master bedroom and one single bedroom. Luxurious duvets, pillows, linen, and towels included. There is a fully equipped kitchen/diner with a range cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The sheltered private courtyard is equipped with garden furniture and barbeque. The Apple Barn is accessed via the courtyard garden and houses my late brother's private collection of memorabilia relating to the adventures of the former owner, Doctor John Smith. This includes an extensive library of video recordings and audio recollections. Guests are free to make use of an extensive library of this special collection of DVD's, CD's and books. The Apple Barn has a twin bedroom with single beds and its own bathroom with shower.

Lydd is one of the larger towns on the Romey Marsh in Kent dating from Saxon times The name Hlyda was found in a Saxon charter dating from the 8th centuryIt was originally an island separated from Romney by the Rother estuary The Dungeness peninsular jutting into the English Channel is a national heritage site with hundreds of unique plants and its extensive water features make it ideally placed for migrant birds The marsh provides many fine walks with tours and walking maps offering varying degrees of distance There are also many designated cycling routes on the marsh and linking the Cinque Port Towns Maps of tours are available in the cottage
