Property Details of Costa del Sol Apartment

This well furnished and maintained 3 bedroom apartment is an ideal base for exploring the whole Costa del Sol, or if you prefer a more restful holiday, there is plenty to see and do around the nearby harbour, beaches and picturesque town. On days you would rather stay in, two inviting terraces await you where you can sunbathe in privacy or enjoy a bottle of wine while enjoying the magnificent views and terrific sunsets. The apartment has air-conditioning for the long, warm summer days and is also heated in case the weather should turn cooler. Overlooking the picturesque and pretty harbour and sleepy fishing port in Estepona, this delightful apartment has internet, satellite TV in the lounge and master bedroom, a viewing terrace and a spiral staircase, which leads to the upper deck sun terrace. On either side of the harbour and about a 10 minute walk are the two beaches and it is only a couple of minutes walk to restaurants and cafes, supermarkets and shops, pubs and bars. This beautiful and well located apartment has stunning views of the Mediterranean, in part due to its elevated position. While this may be in common with many other holiday accommodations on the Costa del Sol, the added bonus of being able to see both Gibraltar and Africa on the other side of the Straits is not. An elevator whisks you right to your front door and, as the only apartment on the floor, provides extra privacy. It has 3 bedrooms when the sliding door between bedrooms 2 and 3 is closed but when sleeping only 4 guests, this door can be opened to provide a more spacious, hotel suite feel. A cot is available if required. In the lounge, the sofa bed, specially chosen for its comfort in either configuration, can be opened out in a matter of seconds to provide a large, comfortable bed if friends should stay overnight. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and an ensuite shower room. Bedroom 3 has a double bed and is connected to bedroom 2 by a sliding door, ideal when you have small children or babies and allowing a feeling of spaciousness if the third bedroom is not being used. The kitchen is equipped with good quality cupboards, a cooker, hob, fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and a full range of cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery. A washing machine, ironing board and iron are to be found in the utility room. The well furnished, comfortable lounge includes a sofa, armchairs, 6 seat dining table, satellite TV, CD player with Ipod dock and DVD player etc. Accessed from the lounge or kitchen is a large terrace with comfortable seating and great views to the west over picturesque rooftops to the sea and Gibraltar, clearly visible rising out of the Mediterranean. It's a great place to enjoy the sunsets perhaps with a glass of wine. Leading from here, the spiral staircase brings you to the even bigger sun terrace, big enough to hold a party or else sunbathe in solitude. There are almost 360 degree views from this terrace. To the east lies the bullring, the town and of course the beautiful sunrise, and southwards the Mediterranean. The African coast and Gibraltar can also be clearly seen and turning towards the north, the nearby hills. There is a large outdoor residents' swimming pool plus paddling pool in the grounds. Whilst the apartment is non-smoking, there are two terraces that smokers are welcome to use. Normally, pets are not allowed but it is possible for this rule to be relaxed in the case of a small, well trained 'companion' pet. Please enquire upon booking. Local Area Details

There are at least 5 golf courses in the area, the two nearest being roughly equidistant from the apartment to the east and west less than 6km away. These are called Estepona Golf and Golf El Paraiso. The others are slightly further along the Marbella road. Many more are not too far away giving a big choice of links you can play during your holiday. Hopefully you'll have time enough to find a favourite.
Playa Del Cristo, the beach just to the west of the harbour is small and sheltered while to the east Rada beach is much bigger, more open and with more varied refreshment facilities. This beach is also close to Estepona town centre. Together, the two offer variety and are clean and safe.
Estepona is served by two international airports and is a half hour's drive from Gibraltar which is the nearest. Malaga airport is also within easy driving distance of about one hour. Road connections are good with a motorway and dual carriageways, though there is a smaller, even more scenic coastal route
There are bus services between Malaga and Gibraltar and Estepona but if you have a car the apartment has free, secure parking for you. The beaches, harbour, shops, restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance.
Westwards, Gibraltar is only half an hour by car, if you don't keep stopping en route for photo shoots of the incredible views of the looming Rock. Cadiz and Seville are able to be visited on a day trip with a drive of an hour or two. To the east Marbella, Malaga and the historic city of Granada are 20 minutes, an hour and 2 hours away respectively. Near Granada is the Sierra Nevada mountain range for winter skiing Again possible on a days outing.
Horse riding is a short drive away as are the larger supermarkets. The hiring of boats and scuba diving can be arranged within the harbour area. There are also scenic drives into the hills which Estepona is close to and pretty villages can be explored along the coast. Gibraltar is easy to reach and makes a great day trip and just on the other side of Gibraltar lies the ferry to Tangiers which also can be seen on a day trip. There is generally no need to pre-book this. Tickets for the ferry and guided tours can be picked up at some petrol stations on the way to the ship Another ferry sails across the Straits to the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on the North African coast.
