The La Manga strip and Cartagena are also within easy reach as well as the other towns and villages such as San Pedro Del Pinatar, Cabo de Palos, La Zenia, Santiago de la Ribera, Cabo Roig, Punta Prima, La Manga del Mar Menor, Los Dolores and Lo Pagan which is famous for its healing mud therapy.

The contrast between the old and new in the area works hand in hand. Guests here will have a feel of the age old culture of ancient Spain with all the modern pastimes such as golf, water sports and many other leisure activities of New Spain.

About Golfing

This resort was designed by Jack Nicklaus and is located just ten minutes away from Murcia San Javier airport. It is near a beautiful beach at Los Alcazares which is just one of the many stunning beaches on the Mar Menor and is only a five minute drive from the resort. The town of Los Alcazares is also in close proximity to the resort at about a five minute drive away while the wonderful city of Murcia with its new water park is at approximately a fifteen minute drive.

About Local Attrcations

Santa Barbara Castle, Alicante City
You can't fail to notice this impressive castle situated on an outcrop over looking Alicante City. It's one of the largest medieval fortresses in Europe and covers the complete summit of the Benacantil Mountain.
Originally built by the Moors in the 10th century, the castle received its name from the conquest of King Alfonse the Wise that took place on 4th December 1248: Saint Barbara's day. Over the following centuries it was developed and extended leaving it with three main areas all dating from different eras.

Torrevieja Boat Trips!

Boat Trips

Several boat trips are available from Torrevieja Fishing Port. There is an all day trip to the beautiful, unspoilt, Isla Tabarca (Tabarca Island), departing at 11.00hrs and returning 18.00hrs (every day except Friday). The crossing time is approximately 40 minutes. This departs from Torrevieja Marina, in the centre of town, opposite the fountain.
