Our little house is in Padern, a charming medieval village in the Corbieres region. Recently renovated it has a main room with a well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room. The bathroom with a toilet is at the same level. The upstairs double bedroom has a beautiful view over the tiled roofs of the village and distant hills. The village is well placed for exploring the many fortresses once inhabited by the Cathares. The house is found on the small stepped lane that leads to the castle. There are many short walks around the village,and, for the more adventurous there is a 6km walk to the Queribus Castle. Each morning as you open the bedroom shutters you are greeted by the ever changing colour of the mountains.
