About Bars
There are many bars and restaurant in Alcossebre, including two or three English owned bars. Flamingo in Las Fuentes and Cheers in the harbour area are the best. Along the front in the village are many other Spanish bars/restaurants overlooking the sea.
About Beaches
There are two very large and beautiful sandy beaches with easy entry into the sea, play facilities for children and toilets in the summer very near the flat. In addition there are various smaller, more secluded beaches and rocky coves along the coast
About Local Restaurants
The many excellent restaurants include our favourite Montemar, only 100 metres from the flat, overlooking the sea. A sister restaurant with magnificent views is El Pinar in the Serra D'Irta. Cheaper but with good, freshly cooked food - Casa Antonio in the village
About Walking
Alcossebre is a lovely area for all kinds of walking: from a gentle walk along wooden walkways towards the town and by the beaches to hill walking in the Sierra d'Irta. On both sides of the village there are nature reserves and you can walk along the coast from the lighthouse to Peniscola if you ahve the time and energy.
About Shopping
Alcossebre has easy and excellent shopping facilities. The nearest from the flat at the end of the Romana beach is Crisdan. 15 minutes walk takes you to the Spar supermarket in the main village street. And for a big shop by car there is a large Consum supermarket with excellent fresh fish just above the village.
