It is stylishly decorated with spectacular views overlooking Kingstown Bay with boat access and safe free mooring available in front of the property. Situated on the waters edge of Kingstown Bay in a quiet lane in an absolutely delightful setting only 5 minutes drive away from one of the most famous scenic tourist attractions in Ireland ‘The Sky Road’ which boasts the most panoramic breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean. This property is a fisherman’s delight and a kids dream location, you can fish off the rocks ‘catch and cook your catch’ on the BBQ provided or the kids can go sailing on their dinghys direct from the house. We can arrange private boat trips to explore the various local secluded islands such as Omey, High Island and Inishturbot with their white sandy beaches and local wild life, pure pockets of beauty where time stands still. Carraig Bawn House situated only moments from one of the most famous tourist attractions in Ireland 'The Sky Road' with its majestic scenery of the rugged Coastline and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean where we can organise a private boat trip to visit islands such as Inishturbot, High Island and Omey Island. You can visit Cleggan Village where you can enjoy some fabulous seafood, from here take a boat trip to Inishbofin with its beautiful beaches, hire a bike or just relax. Only 5 mins from the house there is a Coral beach where you can enjoy a swim, go snorkelling or take a walk along the coast. You can go surfing, mountain climbing, horse riding, enjoy walking tours, visit Kylemore Abbey and the Connemara National Park (Diamond Hill), take a boat trip on a tranquil lake, have a picnic on the white sandy beaches, play an 18 hole golf course, go deep sea fishing, fly fishing this is to name but a few of the wonderful activities in the area. Clifden is only a 5 min drive away. This house is a perfect setting to relax and unwind after a day of touring the beautiful coastline of Connemara. You are welcomed into a fabulous bright reception room with cathedral ceilings, large open fireplace, dining table seating for up to 10 people, dual double doors opening out onto a garden area overlooking Kingstown Bay where there is a BBQ area, spit roaster and ample garden furniture to relax and enjoy eating Al fresco if desired. There is ample kitchen utensils, Aga electric oven and gas hob for the cooking enthusiasts. Perfect setting for entertaining. The sun lounge has a huge window where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast or relax in the evening with a chilled glass of wine and watch the sunset over the bay. From the house there are steps leading down to a green area with a stone table and chairs to sit out on a summers evening and enjoy the wonderful views. Perfect Holiday for Families Carraig Bawn House is a perfect holiday destination for families, there is an abundance of activities for kids to enjoy without even leaving the property! Whilst the kids are sailing on their dinghy boats or swimming in the bay or just fishing off the rocks you can sit back relax and enjoy a glass of wine outside on the sun lounger before preparing the BBQ. Only moments from the house is a secluded coral beach that is perfect for snorkelling or to enjoy an evening stroll. There is a horse riding school & local sailing courses within close proximity of the house. Also there are 2 excellent adventure centres located within 30 minutes drive from Clifden offering daily and weekly courses for both adults and children in sailing, windsurfing, orienteering, kayaking, rock climbing, bungee jumping, waterskiing, archery and clay pigeon shooting, amongst other activities. Connemara is surrounded with white sandy beaches.
