It is a small but bustling market town with a population of about 4500 inhabitants. There are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants plus 3 supermarkets, banks, post office, bakeries and little curiosity shops plus 6 estate agencies. For leisure activities there are tennis courts, a gym and a museum. Gas central Heated for Winter lets. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. UK satallite TV and DVD player. Private outside courtyard Close by is "The Mill" originally a tapestry mill now transformed to provide a bar and restaurant open during Winter and Summmer. Aubusson Riverside Holidays provides an ideal base to explore the beautiful Limousin countryside, lakes and rivers. We are a short drive away to the Lac de Vassiviere, a huge man-made lake with a small island on which there is a chateau and art gallery. There are purpose made sandy swimming beaches, a marina, cafe/restaurant and pleasure boats, one with a restaurant. A perfect day out. During Winter months we are 1 hours drive away the skiing resort of Mont D'ore. The Puy de Sancy has black, red and blue runs plus nursery slopes. The is a cable car which will take you to the restaurant half way up the mountain where you can admire the views. Season starts in December and finishes late April. All equipment can be hired and ski lift passes can be bought at a very low cost.
