Our off-grid woodland glamping accommodation is a great way to spend a self-catering holiday in Somerset. We have Yurts, Bell tents and a Canvas Lodge for glamping guests, plus two woodland camping pitches for those who wish to bring their own tent! As Woodland Escape is an off-grid retreat, we encourage guests to switch off their electronic devices and embrace digital detox during their stay with us. Practice yoga amongst the trees as the sun rises and cook up sumptuous meals outside on the barbecue or gas stove, plus we provide books, games and puzzles to borrow from our solar-powered reception tent. We welcome dogs as another member of the family, there is a small charge per accommodation to cover the cost of the additional cleaning in case subsequent guests have allergies. Hen & stag dos and similar party groups are welcomed with exclusive hire of the site so as to have their freedom during their break. We are in the minority of glamping sites who welcome guests for a single night, in order to do this we must charge a single night supplement per person in order to offset the losses we incur by providing this service. Please enquire directly for more information about one night glamping breaks. In Summer 2017 we introduced hot tub glamping! Now guests can hire our exclusive wood-fired hot tub and relax in the soothing water, surrounded by trees. For guests' convenience we provide complimentary use of towels, gowns and flip-flops with each hot tub hire - there is a minimum 2 night booking for the hot tub to conserve our planet's water resources. We have designed the site with nature in mind, we have left areas untouched to attract an abundance of bees, butterflies and dragonflies during the warmer months. Despite being off-grid, we use a solar powered system to provide power & lights to our facilities including hot running showers and flushing toilets. Each accommodation has a solar-powered unit for lighting at nighttime.
