Property Details of Mallorca Apartment

This privately owned, modern, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, air-conditioned apartment is situated in the centre of Pto. Alcudia, just 2 minutes walk from the beautiful sandy beach and marina. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a mainly residential block, located second line from the beach, with secure, well lit entrance lobby and lift. The accommodation comprises of lobby with hallway leading to bathroom (1) with shower, and the fully fitted kitchen with cooker, hob with extractor, refrigerator, microwave, other small domestic appliances and iron/board. From the kitchen there is access to a small balcony/washing area with washing machine. The entrance lobby also leads to a large dining area, with table and chairs for 6 people, and lounge area with sofas and chairs. Satellite TV, DVD and CD facilities are provided and a south facing balcony, with further table and chairs, is accessible from the lounge area. A hallway from the lounge leads to bathroom (2) with bath/shower and the 3 bedrooms which can comfortably sleep upto 7 people. There are two double bedrooms and one twin room. The twin beds can be made into bunk beds allowing space to accommodate a further pull-out single bed or travel cot if required. Each bedroom benefits from air-conditioning and a large built in wardrobe. Bed linen and towels (not beach) are provided and a mid-term laundry change is available upon request. Change-over day is normally Saturday, but we can be flexible out of high season. Check-in from 2pm; vacate by 10am - to allow for cleaning services.

Local Area Details

Pto. Alcudia, in the north-west of Mallorca, is fast becoming one of the most popular areas on the Island, in or out of season. Transfer time from the airport in Palma is around 45 mins by car/taxi. The actual Port is less lively than some parts of the resort, like the Belvue area, although there are many hotels, restaurants and bars which provide plenty of entertainment.
The beautiful Bay of Alcudia has kilometres of extensive sandy beach providing safe bathing and all the usual beach activities, including sailing, water-skiing, wind-surfing, para-gliding, banana and glass-bottom boat rides and volleyball. Alcudia provides easy access to the western mountain ranges where you will find the spectacular gorge at La Colobra, the town and port of Soller and Deia, made famous by the English poet Robert Graves, now home to some of the rich and famous. For the bird and butterfly watchers, Albufera Natural Park is just 5 minutes away and for the golfers, there is an 18 hole links course at Alcanada, also 5 minutes away, and a 9 hole course at nearby Pollensa. There are 4 more excellent uncrowded courses (Canyamel, Capdepera, Pula and Son Severa) on the north-east coast all around 45 minutes drive and 36 holes at Son Antem, the Marriott resort near Llucmayor.
The Port is inundated with some very, very nice restaurants covering a multitude of tastes; from good old British Fish & Chips to Mediterranean Cuisine (some very nice fresh fish restaurants), typical Spanish/Mallorcean dishes and tapas (a must to try), Chinese, Indian and Thai. The historical Old Town of Alcudia is about a 20 minutes walk away where a large market is held every Tuesday and Sunday morning to 2.00pm.
