The Dona Lola holiday resort is at Calahonda on the Costa del Sol, set right beside the sea amid heavily scented gardens, swaying palms and waterfalls, in a climate which enjoys 320 days of sunshine per year. This spacious, three bedroom, air-conditioned penthouse apartment has superb un-interrupted views of the sea from it's large Southerly facing balcony. From this third(top) floor vantage point, fishing boats can be seen leaving the beach in the morning, and perhaps struggling against the waves when returning a few hours later. Larger boats and ships are constantly appearing on, and disappearing from, the horizon. A dining-table and 6 chairs are provided on the balcony, and you're within easy reach of the cold drinks in the fridge, and the cooler air-conditioned rooms within, if things get too hot! I have decorated the lounge with a nautical theme in mind, in keeping with the location. My own collection of shells from all over the world is displayed on genuine Spanish drift-wood "claimed" from nearby beaches ! The spacious lounge has comfortable setees for 6 people, and large TV with DVD etc., and dining area with 6 comfortable chairs. Turning left through the door from the lounge leads towards the fully fitted kitchen, brand new in 2006, with full-size cooker & hob, microwave, kettle, 2 sinks, giant fridge / freezer, dishwasher and washing-machine. From the brightly decorated corridor, next left leads into the first of the 3 double bedroom. Next to that is the first of the two fully fitted bathrooms, complete with a powerful shower over the bath. Continuing along the second double bedroom, and finally the master bedroom with en-suite, and beautiful sea views from both windows. Massive wardrobes in all three bedrooms provide more than ample storage space.
