Hollyhock was built in the early 1800ï¿½s, this brick and timber cottage is one of the few remaining original buildings to have survived the onslaught of man and time. It is thought that because the chimney wall of the cottage is built of brick and not of timber, as was the case with the poorer colonists, this reduced the chance of it burning down from the fires spreading from the chimneys to the rest of the house. Ideally suited to couples, Hollyhock Cottage contains a bedroom, sitting room, full kitchen and eating area. The bathroom contains a double spa bath, and the cottage is equipped with laundry facilities and has wood and electric heating.
