Set on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Somerset West, Mooring House Guest Lodge offers spacious and tasteful bed and breakfast accommodation and a self catering unit set in a tranquil and pleasant surrounding. The Guest Lodge also has a large lounge with a fire place which is well used during the cold winter months and a separate dining area where breakfast is served. We are situated at the gateway to the various wine estates and are in close proximity to various golf courses (two of which being Erinvale and Stellenbosch). The Strand Beach front and the Somerset Mall (for all your shopping requirements) is only a few minutes drive away as well as recreational activities such as hiking trails. A supermarket, hair salon, dry-cleaner and restaurant is also within an even closer proximity. Adequate and secure off street parking is available within the premises, behind electronic gates. A sparkling and refreshing pool is also available to our guests who prefer to 'cool off' rather than go sight seeing. In total the Guest Lodge has 1 self catering unit and 5 units for accommodation purposes. 3 Of the units are luxury sized rooms, each with a full en-suite bathroom (toilet, handbasin, shower and bath), and double doors leading out onto a patio from where our guests can sit and absorb the splendid sunsets or distant sea views. The rooms are also equipped with TV, a coffee/tea facility and hair dryer. Some of the units are also equipped with mini fridges, radios, video recorder and satellite reception. E-mail, fax and Internet facilities are available upon request as well as laundry. Although we boast of a more than adequate breakfast, light meals can be arranged for lunch or supper. We also offer a shuttle service to and from Cape Town International Airport which is an approximate 20 minute drive away.
