Local Area Details

The area is well suited for an activity holiday as all types of sports etc can be had in summer and winter, but for those less active the region abounds with a wide range of historical interests, not to mention gourmet food and excellent local wines.
Spain is also around an hour away - Pamplona, San Sebastien etc. The historical religious town of Lourdes is less than an hour away and the superb city of Pau (40 minutes) is full of interesting buildings, thousands of palm trees and a wonderful view of the Pyrenées.
