Property Details of Provence House
La Dragonne de Flore is a pretty house with three bedrooms, one with ensuite shower, and a separate bathroom. The large mezzanine above the living room offers additional sleeping space with two single beds under the eaves. There are warm terracotta floors throughout and all the rooms open onto the south facing garden terrace. The large and comfortable living room has an open fireplace and is equipped with TV and DVD player. All the settees are double sofa beds so for larger parties it is possible for the house to accommodate 10 people using these together with the beds on the mezzanine.
The dining/kitchen area leads off the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave with a washing machine in an adjoining laundry room. There is also a separate toilet.
There are three sunny bedrooms, two doubles (one with ensuite shower) and a twin equipped with bunk beds. There is a separate bathroom with bath and shower.
The garden is completely private and the house has its own pool (10x4.5m) plus shower room and a summer kitchen with BBQ and dining area. Pool loungers are provided
Bed linen and towels are not provided but it is possible to hire these from the owner for a small charge. If you require a cleaner for the end of your stay this can also be arranged at a cost of ?85. Please stipulate at time of booking.
The house is situated in the heart of the village which has a small supermarket selling everything for every day needs including the morning bread, a 2 minute stroll away. There is also a restaurant in the village serving pizzas cooked on a wood fire and local provencal dishes.

Local Area DetailsThe Parc Naturel du Luberon is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty in southern Provence. Bounded to the north by the Vaucluse plateau and to the south by the Grand and Petit Luberon mountains the Luberon valley is a picturesque landscape of vineyards, orchards and lavender fields enhanced by the famous hilltop villages of Gordes, Roussillon and Menerbes to name but a few.
La Dragonne de Flore is located in the village of Maubec situated at the eastern of the Luberon valley. The house is completely private with its own garden and pool with views of the beautiful Luberon hills nearby. There is paving around pool together with an outdoor kitchen and seating area ideal for eating alfresco. There is local shopping in the village and the hamlet of Coustellet just a few minutes drive away has an excellent market of local producers every Sunday morning from April to November. Good Cotes de Ventoux and Cotes du Luberon wine can be bought direct from the growers at several of the excellent vineyards in the area and there are many good restaurants for eating out.
Further afield, the attractions of Avignon, Aix, St. Remy, Nimes, Orange and Arles are all within easy exploring distance with the beaches of the Cote d?Azur and the Camargue accessible within around 2 hours via the Autoroute. The nearest airport is Marseille - approximately one hours drive from the Luberon.
If you visit the area in July or August and all you wish to do is lie in or around the pool, this is a lovely place to do just that but other times of the year are just as beautiful. Springtime is delightful with the cherry orchards in full bloom, the lavender fields look beautiful in June and early July and in September/October the ?vendage? begins. This area is renowned for its sunshine days and blue skies all year round.

| The rent includes all services except heating in the cooler months.
We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. We also require a ?1600 deposit against damages payable direct to the owner at the start of your holiday. Any breakages and damages will be made against the deposit and the balance returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive after 5 p.m. and to leave at 9.00 a.m. on the day of departure.
In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks or less before the start of your intended stay. If we can re-let our additional expenditure, including advertising, will be deducted and the rest returned to you. We would therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance which covers cancellation. This is widely available, for example from airlines, ferry companies, and the AA.
