Prices from £310 per Week
An extremely high quality, non-smoking and pet free self-catering holiday cottages, sleeping 6 in three bedrooms, with one main bathroom, one en-suite and an additional toilet. It has been graded with the maximum 5 Stars. The cottage is between St. Davids and Fishguard in the hamlet of Penparc, on the St. Davids Peninsula, close to the centre of the best stretch of the Pembrokeshire coast north east of St Davids. Our cottages are situated within the protected Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. There are extensive and spectacular sea views from the good sized garden laid almost exclusively to lawn, and in particular stunning views of the cliffs around Strumble Head. The cottage has been built in the last few years, but with plenty of character giving he impresssion of a much older cottage. This extremely spacious cottage, with unlimited hot water and central heating, has one bathroom, one en-suite shower room and a third toilet room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a table seating 6 (for those who chose to eat in this room rather than the dining room), washing machine , tumble dryer, fridge freezer and microwave. The living room (with television, video , CD stereo system and DVD player) is large. There is an open log burning fire, a mixture of leather and fabric furnishings. There is an extremely light and airy dining room which is open to the rafters, with attractive dining table seating up to ten people. This room has patio doors opening onto a large decking / patio. Off this room is the ground floor bedroom, again very light airy and indeed spacious and this principal bedroom benefits from a quality en-suite and a king size bed. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one a double and one a twin both comfortably furnished with good quality bed linen and beds. One mile down a quite country lane from our cottages and hamlet is the acclaimed village of Trefin, situated on clifftops between the famous harbours of Porthgain and beautiful Abercastle. Trefin has its own cove on the edge of the village at Aberflin, with numerous rock pools in this small sand and shingle beach which is surrounded on three sides by rugged cliffs. Trefin is quite a bustling village with a post office, pub, an artist?s gallery, a more general craft shop, and a couple of tea shops. Just a few hundred yards south along the coast is a wonderful sandy National trust beach Traethllyfn , and an equally short distance further on is the famed harbour of Porthgain. Beyond that is the beach of Aberreidy, porbably the most painted scene in Wales. Also only a short distance north of our local village, Trefin, is the superb small harbour of Abercastle. Then in either direction on the coast are some wonderful beaches, coves and harbours, all connected by the famous Coast Path. Quite apart from the wonderfully scenic location, the cottages are also well placed for amenities, there is one pub serving really well kept real ale and also bar food just a few hundred yards away, with two more pubs selling good quality bar meals only one mile away, whilst a fourth pub, the Sloop, only one and a half miles away in the fishing harbour of Portgain, is probably the most famous pub on the St Davids Peninsula. Our hamlet is well catered for by way of provisions with a small store within 50 yards and a petrol station with a larger grocery store attached offering a wide selection of groceries, newspapers, logs etc. on the main Fishguard/St Davids Road just a couple of hundred yards away. There are a substantial number of other pubs within 5 miles, a couple of restaurants, and needless to say numerous tea shops within a similar distance.
