Les Rosiers is a lovely listed ground floor cottage dating from the 17th century. It is formed out of one wing of an idyllic chateau Domaine in the Gers. There is a large heated fresh water pool and a fully equipped health spa. The Domaine de Peyloubere is a beautiful 17th century Gascony estate set in 35 acres of woodland, lakes, gardens and tall trees. Les Rosiers is one of 5 cottages on the estate, and it has been refurbished and re-equipped over the past three years to incorporate modern comforts while maintaining its original period timbered character. The cottage has its own private garden and shares the large heated 12 x 6m fresh water swimming pool and the health spa - which includes a sauna, balneotherapy spa and sunbathing terrace. Les Rosiers is located in the oldest wing of the Manoir and overlooks the rose garden on one side and its own shady garden on the other. The large living room has a magnificent beamed fireplace and tall french windows. The double room has a superb hand painted wooden ceiling of historic importance, and the second bedroom has large bunk beds. There are also loungers, tables and chairs around the pool and in the Spa garden. Cots and high chairs are available free of charge, and a television/video recorder can be hired upon request. The cottage has its own garden furniture and BBQ.
Local Area DetailsPeyloubere is situated in the Department of the Gers in South West France. The 35-acre estate lies just outside the village of Pavie which is 10 minutes south of Auch, the historic and vibrant capital of Gascony. The nearest airport of Toulouse Blagnac is 55 minutes from Auch; Pau is about 90 minutes drive and Carcassone and Bordeaux are about two hours away. Auch itself has around 70 restaurants and all of the other facilities that one would expect of a vibrant departmental capital.
