Book your holiday in this beautifully restored, sympathetically modernised and newly extended cottage and save 20% with Brittany Ferries. Coeur de Chene offers a wonderfully relaxed self catering holiday. The new separate living room has french doors on to the garden, a high vaulted ceiling, contains a wood burning fire, 3 & 2 seater sofas, TV with free to view English satelite programmes, Video, CD player, a selection of books, Videos and CDs. The new dining room seats 6 and has a kitchen area with fully fitted modern units, electric hob, fan assisted oven, extractor fan, fridge, separate freezer, microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery and utensils. The downstairs bedroom has twin beds with bedside cabinets, set of drawers, clothes hanging space and has an adjoining family bathroom which also contains a washing machine, iron and ironing board.
The main spacious double bedroom is upstairs and has a vaulted ceiling with exposed oak beams, wardrobes and chest of drawers, period chair to enjoy the views from and an en suite shower room with basin and w.c. There is also a lovely small separate single bedroom with views over the garden. A cot, changing mat and booster seat/high chair are also available.
The house is detached and stands in an acre of land, there is a large patio area leading into the garden and it contains a bench seat, picnic table, BBQ, an ornamental but functioning well and washing line. As the garden is not fully enclosed, young children would need supervision although the lane outside is very quiet.
Local Area DetailsThe nearest town to Coeur de Chene is Chateaubriant which contains a wealth of historical and beautiful places to visit. The Tourist board there publish a booklet every summer containing ideas and information about all the events taking place. Activities include 18 hole swin golf, croquet, archery, waterskiing, karting, paint-ball, bowling, paragliding, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and boating. It is also an ideal place for trekking, cycling and horse riding. There are 4 riding centres within reach.
If after all that activity you are too tired to cook, choose from one of the many restaurants within 30 minutes drive for a wonderful evening meal. The regions offers beautiful lakes, rivers, markets, fetes and if you really are easily bored, you will be within an hours drive from Nantes, Rennes, Angers and the Atlantic coast. The famous Foire de Bere (country show) which has been held in Chateaubriant since 1050 is on during the 2nd weekend in September and not to be missed.

| A 25% non refundable deposit is required for a confirmed booking. The rate includes all utilities, bedding, linen, tea towels and towels if required. Basically we try to provide everything other than food, drink & personal toiletries so that there is no need for our guests to stock up on things they won't be able to use up in the space of a holiday. There is a £25 winter fuel charge for bookings from 1st October to end of April. A £100 refundable security deposit is required to be cleared before start of holiday. |
