Gargano's National Park safeguards a very rich, natural, cultural, religious and artistic inheritance. Gargano's nature is strong, wild and very varied: terraced fields, olive plantations, citrus orchards, rows of Aleppo, pines, the impenetrable cloak of Umbra forest, the lakes of Lesina and Varano inhabited by ducks, herons and cormorants, the steep white coast displays alternating large sandy shores, small bays, deep inlets, caves and marine cliffs. Mattinata, Peschici and Vieste , both on the sea, are international tourist towns. The house is 4 hours from Rome and 2,5 hours from Naples and Amalfi, Sorrento; 1,5 from Pescara and Bari airports (both Ryanair flights from London!); 25 minutes from San Giovanni Rotondo (PADRE PIO's town!); 15 minutes from Monte Sant’Angelo, Manfredonia and Mattinata.
