A charming experience: a quaint, former eighteenth century fishermen's cottage with all the convenience of a modern dwell restored in 2002. Tidewater offers its guests a peaceful and stylish accomodation in a really, unique atmosphere in the peaceful fishing village of Gardenstown just 50 miles North of Aberdeen. The cottage overlooks the sea and is located in Seatown a few steps from the sandy beach.
- The cottage features a dining room with a fireplace - logs and coal are provided - tastefully furnished with a sofa, two armchairs and an extractable table with chairs. Again a cable television with VCR equipment and a radio CD player. Two windows overlook the seafront and the harbour respectively.
- The kitchen, fully equipped, has two electric ovens, a ceramic hob, electric kettle and toaster.
- Bathroom with shower cubicle and heated towel rail. Hairdryer.
- Double bedroom with a queen size bed, a wardrobe and an electric trouser-presser. There is also room to accommodate a crib for a child aged less than 5 years upon request.
- Attached to the cottage is a laundry room with all the necessary for washing, including a washing machine, an iron board and a sink for handwash.
- Outside, at the gable, a reserved parking area suitable for one vehicle only.
Bed linen, towels and household linen are all provided. In winter time the cottage is supplied with electric storage heating throughout.

Gardenstown is an ideal seaside retreat and offers visitors a fine sandy beach where swimming is available in summer time.
From Seatown you can easily reach the picturesque bay of Crovie just ten minutes away on foot and, from there the Coastal Trail up to the village of Pennan. The western marine ports of Whitehills, Portsoy, Cullen, Portnockie, and Findochty are all within few minutes drive.
Art enthusiasts should not miss the "Duff House" in Banff, a splendid mansion in perfect Georgian baroque, converted into the national academy of fine arts.
In the countryside the history dates back to centuries visiting the Castles of Huntly, Fyvie, Delgatie and Tolquhon ruins.
Renowned all over the world for its whisky the Grampian Higlands offer the unique experience of a "malt whisky trail" discovering Strathisla and Glenfiddich distillery as well as the famous Glen Grant's.
For sport seekers two golf clubs await you at little distance from Gardenstown: the Royal Duff House and the Tarlair Golf Course both immersed into spectacular sceneries.
For all the "bravehearts", finally, Gardenstown itself would be a perfect base for Inverness (60 mls westward) discovering the most mysterious lake in the world, Loch Ness, and visiting Cawdor castle of Shakespearian memory.
