Our B&B is situated in a small medieval village, Sainte Colombe de la Commanderie, 16kms from Perpignan, Pyrenees Orientales. The B&B is an old Catalan farmhouse, restored with care. All our rooms are en suite with showers and toilettes. Some are airconditioned. We have a lovely enclosed garden where you can picnic or just relax. We are 25 mins from a variety of beaches, and 1 hour from some of the highest peaks in the Pyrenees. Our little village is very quiet, and is in the heart of the wine country (Cotes du Roussillon) There are 3 wineries in our village alone.
Local Area DetailsWe are in the heart of Northern Catalonia. The area is rich in natural beauty and lovely romanesque architecture. It is close to the Spanish border, less than an hour from Figueras, Girona. There are several fortified medieval villages, as well as the European center for prehistory at Tautavel. Depending on your tastes, you have a large variety of cultural activities such as music festivals, art exhibits, good beaches, hiking and biking.
