Mulino Dello Zoppo is a secluded millhouse surrounded by mature gardens and its own vineyard, nestled in the Val di Chio, Tuscany, not far from Cortona. It sleeps eight people comfortably, has it's own swimming pool and is available for rental or as a fully hosted experience.Accommodation
The accommodation comprises of two large double bedrooms and a further bedroom which contains twin beds with a set of pine bunk beds (optional). In addition to which you have a generously sized bathroom and additional shower room.
The first floor also includes a large, comfortable living/dining room with satellite television, video, stereo and large open fireplace. The kitchen/breakfast room is fully equiped with breakfast table and chairs, oven and microwave.
Should you be taking advantage of our fully hosted experience, on the ground floor is an additional split level lounge/dining room with two sets of double doors overlooking the well maintained garden and vineyard with a further set of windows over the pool and out to the fertile hills beyond.
Local Area DetailsLocal Area The hill town of Castiglion Fiorentino is a matter of minutes away by car and has loads of character and local charm cobbled streets and a selection of shops to tempt you There is a bustling market which springs up each Friday throughout the year full of local colour and is definitely worth a visit If it is sightseeing you are after then you are spoilt for choice Pisa Florence Siena and Assisi to name a few are all within an hour or twos drive or easy to get to by train from the station in Castiglion Fiorentino Cortona the medieval hill town is only fifteen minutes drive from Mulino dello Zoppo This town has become renowned from the well read book Under The Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes And we would highly recommend a visit during your stay For those who wish to experience the area at a more leisurely pace there are a selection of bicycles available for you to use You can cycle or walk by road or on tracks to the small local store and cafe where necessary supplies can be bought Naturally there are a choice of larger supermarkets in the local area for a more comprehensive shop
