This decent (family) apartment is located at just 250 meters from the main beach-area of Barcelona. (Playa de Barceloneta) Apartment Joan de Borbó is located alongside the main entrance road of Barceloneta. Barceloneta, once an old fishers village, totally independent from the city of Barcelona, nowadays a lovely and characteristic neighbourhood of Barcelona, but with it’s own special historic character and inhabitants.
Situated in an authentic building on the second floor, this apartment disposes of all the facilities you might need during your holiday.
The space within is divided into 3 sleeping quarters, a living room, a bathroom and a kitchen. All three bedrooms are equipped with a double bed and is therefore a perfect alternative when you are traveling with a larger family or group. One of the double beds is located about 1 meter above the floor and should therefore be reached with help of a little ladder. In the living room of the apartment you will find the comfortable sofa to take a moment of rest after a long day of sightseeing in the Gothic area or swimming in the Mediterranean. In the fully equipped kitchen you will find everything necessary to make yourself a little snack or a well-cooked meal if you want to. The kitchen disposes of all kinds of electro domestics and also a laundry machine.
The bathroom is a bit small, but it does offer you the pleasure of a little Jacuzzi. At the end of the living room there’s a little balcony.

Local Area Details

Situated in Barceloneta, once an independent village where the fish industry of Barcelona was concentrated. Nowadays a lovely and characteristic neighbourhood, during the years slowly absorbed by the city. But still it feels like entering another town. When entering Barcelona by the main road, you will immediately notice that the neighbourhood has preserved it’s greatest treasure best: the art of preparing seafood. From the beginning until the end of Joan de Borbó (the main entrance road where the apartment is situated) you will see many restaurants serving their specialties. At the end of the Joan de Borbó begins the Barceloneta beach area. Absolutely a great place to be during the hot summer.

Transport:
The apartment is situated at 250 from the beach and at only a few minutes walking from the Rambla. Situated besides the Old Harbour, you can walk alongside the boats until you reach Maremagnum: a high standard and modern shopping mall, created in the harbor of Barcelona. From there a bridge connects you with the world famous promenade La Rambla. For visiting other parts of town (e.g. the architectural pieces of the Catalan mastermind Gaudi) you will be very well connected with the Barcelona metro-net. The nearest metro station is at 600 meters and is one of the main stops.
