The mansion features large guest rooms, a huge elegant living room with grand concert piano, and black marble Italian fireplace, large formal dining room, games room with pool table, fitness room, beautiful antiques. Nestled on the oceanfront ridge in historic Seaview, this lovely Victorian mansion sits on six acres of shoreline pines, coastal dunes and oceanfront. Senator T.C. Bloomer built his "King of the Ridge" Mansion primarily for entertainment purposes in 1890 and doubled it to its present 7000 square foot size in the early 1930's. It is adorned with Victorian wall coverings and furnishings acquired through his vast travels throughout Europe and the Middle and Far East.The lower level of the Inn offers a game room with regulation pool table, TV with digital cable channels, and a VCR with videos. The private, fenced outdoor spa surrounded by a beautiful rock garden is ideal for watching the stars at night. Explore the private path through our forest to 28 miles of white sand beach!

Local Area Details

The Long Beach Peninsula is a seaside resort with horseback riding on the world's longest beach, go-carts in town along with other carnival rides. The area offers lighthouses, military forts, museums, interpretive centers, wildlife refuges, State Parks, and beaches to explore. Take a walking tour of the historic homes. Festivals are held year round; notable are the International Kite Festival, Sand Stations, Northwest Garlic Festival and Summerfest. Clam digging, kayaking on the bay, beachcombing, winter storm watching, birdwatching, sport fishing, hiking, golfing, and kite flying are popular activities

The cottage is close (four miles) to a newly established (2nd season) golf course, set in the grounds of Ballindalloch Castle. The course is open to non-members.

The Lecht Ski centre is within 10 miles, and is Scotlands second resort to the Cairngorm centre. Saesonal ski-ing offered January to March (weather dependant).
