Inside, the kitchens are superbly equipped with a full range of appliances, including even a hand blender for mixing locally grown tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers for a refreshing gazpacho. Satellite TV, air-conditioning, central heating and wood fired chimneys are added extras to enhance your stay without detracting from the rural Mediterranean flavour of the property. The houses also boast CD players as well as four poster beds and share the facilities of a centrally located laundry room.

El Paraíso Escondido nestles at the foot of the Lagarín ridge, a true paradise for lovers of birds, large and small. Home to a colony of griffon vultures, short toed and Bonnelli Eagles and with sightings of a pair of Golden Eagles, the ridge also receives the occasional visit from the famous Cabra Montes or Ibex mountain goat from the nearby Sierra de Algodonales. Active types can indulge in a wide range of outdoor pursuits such as hill walking, mountain biking (bikes provided at your accommodation), horse-riding and rock climbing. For a bird's eye view of the spectacular surroundings, you could even treat yourself to a hot air balloon flight at dawn operated by a locally based English couple.
